Information We Collect

1. Anonymous usage and diagnostics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the app is used. This may include app opens, feature usage, device model, operating-system version, and general region. This information helps us identify problems and improve the app. It is not used to identify you personally.

2. Approximate location and network information

To show your current connection status, the app looks up the approximate country and network provider (ASN) associated with your IP address using third-party IP-geolocation services. This lookup is performed to display information to you. We do not store your IP address on our own servers.

3. On-device connection logs

The app keeps a short technical log of connection events on your device for troubleshooting. IP addresses in these logs are masked. The logs remain on your device and are never uploaded unless you choose to share them with support. You can clear them at any time from the in-app Logs screen.

4. Server configuration

The list of available VPN servers and remote settings is retrieved using Google Firebase services, including Firestore and Remote Config. No personal data is sent when retrieving this information.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, log, or store your browsing history, the websites you visit, DNS queries, or the contents of your network traffic. Because we keep no such records, this activity is not traceable to you through us.

How Your VPN Traffic Is Handled

When you are connected, your internet traffic is routed through our VPN servers to help protect your privacy on the network you are using. We do not monitor, inspect, or record the contents of that traffic.

Third-Party Services

The app relies on Google Firebase—including Analytics, Firestore, and Remote Config—and on third-party IP-geolocation providers. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective privacy policies.

Data Retention and Your Choices

Because we do not require an account and do not store a personal profile, there is no personal profile for us to delete. You can clear on-device logs from within the app, and you can stop all data collection by uninstalling the app.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use OLite VPN for any unlawful purpose, to disrupt networks or services, or to attempt to reverse engineer, alter, or tamper with the app. VPN speed and availability depend on your internet connection and other external factors. The service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without liability.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will take effect when the updated policy is posted. Your continued use of OLite VPN after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
